Landing Page Feedback

On Wednesday, April 1st, the first tutorial of the subject was held for students to receive feedback from their peer regarding their work on the landing page of their portfolio, resume and two reflective writing. During the tutorial session, I have received valuable feedback that I believe will help elevate my writing to meet the subject requirement.

As for the landing page, it is a section in my own online portfolio, which is in the “About me” section. Some of my colleagues suggest that it is better to actually have the content in the “About me” section to be on the first page of the website, which suits the meaning of a “Landing Page” better. Furthermore, they also suggest having more background stories regarding my motivation of the field, thoughts on future careers and post-graduate intentions, as this addition would attract readers to follow and understand more myself. It is also better to include more relevant information regarding the work that I have done during the internship.

Resume Feedback

For the feedback on my resume, it Is agreed by most team members that it is well-layout, with key info given such as experience, education and skills, and it gives a professional impression that would definitely attract a lot of employers. However, there are some key points that should be adjusted. Experience and recent education should be set on higher priorities, and a little bit more information regarding the project that I have done during my internship would be much better.

Reflective Writing Feedback

For the reflective feedback, it is agreed by most team members that it is not very “reflective”, it is just a narrative article where I basically described chronologically the events that happened during my internship. This applied for both of the two required reflective writing. However, the writing are easy to understand, with the events organized clearly one after another, and it is good to include personal feeling toward the incidents. However, there seems to be a lack in the lesson gained and what I should have done differently. These points are crucial for a good reflective writing, so it is important to include them in the article.
